They say that you can't count your chickens before they hatch

A poultry farming business has appeared in the small village of Sintas, Aksu rural district, Pavlodar region.

There are people in the village who breed cattle and earn a living from it, as they say. But there was no one who "kept" geese or bred other poultry.

This summer, a farm of this type appeared in Sintas. And all because Ermek Suleimenov, a 52-year-old villager, took part in the National Project for Entrepreneurship Development and presented his business project. Apparently, Ermek's project was immediately supported by the coordinators and won a non-refundable grant of 400 MCI. With these funds, the "newly minted" businessman bought 500 poultry, including more than two hundred goslings.

IMG_5809.JPG"When I was little, our mother "kept" poultry at home. I have watched them since childhood, so much of their care is familiar to me. In other words, there is basic experience. After thinking about it, I decided to try to do this poultry farming, already at my age. Especially since where I live is the very outskirts of the village, this side where the meadow is located, and this is important primarily for breeding birds "like ducks and geese," says entrepreneur Ermek Suleimenov.
However, it was not easy for Ermek, because geese require special care, especially goslings. It was difficult for a single man. Some goslings, only one week old, soon died. But the rest of the goslings of the Linda breed, brought from Russia, have already grown up, almost to a "marketable appearance." By the New Year, he will put them up for sale.
"They say that chickens are counted in the fall. The geese grew well. Now, after the snowfall, some of them are suitable for slaughter. In the winter, I will sell everything and then next spring I will buy goslings again.
Next year, I have a plan to buy about a thousand goslings. In addition, I am thinking of hiring one person as an assistant," says Ermek Suleimenov. Ermek is a disabled person of the second group, so he knows that without an assistant he will not be able to work with such a volume of geese, according to him, alone. There are requests for goose meat from Astana, not to mention Pavlodar. Nevertheless, Ermek says that first of all he will give priority to his neighbors and other fellow villagers.

The shoulder strap was replaced with a pitchfork

Kairbolat Aznabaev, who lives in the village named after Mamait Omarov, in the Aksu rural district, Pavlodar region, dreamed of becoming an officer since childhood. Having grown up, he went to serve in the police and almost achieved his goal. However, the young man subsequently became unfit for service in the internal affairs bodies due to a foot disease.

IMG 5680

Kairbolat, a disabled person of the third group, was unemployed for two years. This year, having learned about the National Entrepreneurship Development Project, he immediately decided to participate in it. The reason is that there is already positive information about such a program. His father, Nurtai Aznabaev, won a grant in 2021, studying the basics of entrepreneurship under the Bastau Business program. Kairbolat also studied online, received a certificate and presented his business project.
"I could not pass the first stage of the competition. There were shortcomings in my business plan. After consulting with my father, I corrected the shortcomings and passed the second stage of the competition and was given a one-time non-refundable subsidy in the amount of 400 MCI," says the "newly minted" businessman Kairbolat Aznabaev.
With this money, Kairbolat bought two cows, four bulls and five calves, and also built a barn for them.
This summer in the Pavlodar region there was a lot of rain, and the grass grew in abundance. In the rural area of Aksu, a tributary of the Irtysh River, flows near Kairbolat's livestock farm. There was no shortage of water and the grass grew in abundance, so he should have enough prepared feed this winter.
"Since we grew up in the countryside since childhood, we are close to animals, so to speak, we have experience in handling/handling cattle. Moreover, for now I will use my father's equipment for preparing feed, which is also important in my business," says the owner of the business Kairbolat Aznabaev.

Kairbolat's beloved wife has two children, and they will be his "first" assistants in business. In the future, he plans to expand his business and increase the livestock. Therefore, in such a situation, it is possible to obtain pasture lands. That is, the plans of the former policeman and now farmer are huge, and he shows by his example that the main thing is not to sit still, but to do something useful for the family and society as a whole.

From unemployment to entrepreneurship!

Suyinbay Babarhan, living in the village of Bereke, Aksu rural district, Pavlodar region, is a participant in the National Project for the Development of Entrepreneurship. Previously, a disabled person of the third group, he joined the ranks of the unemployed. He completed training and received a certificate of training "Business Bastau", defended a business plan and received a grant in the amount of 400 MCI for "his business", i.e., he became a private entrepreneur.

1104 4

Suyinbay's chosen direction is animal husbandry. The Kazakh boy, who knew the proverb "My animal is the mercy of my soul" by heart from an early age, was close to such an occupation as cattle breeding.

He bought cattle with financial support from the state, i.e. funding for the purchase of cattle came through a state grant.

"Now the purchased livestock will become a source of income for our family. After all, my wife is disabled and cannot work, and we have three children.

The state helps and "blesses" people with such programs, thanks to which our family now has an idea to start breeding cattle," says business owner Suyindyk Babarkhan.

Suyindyk has many plans. In the future, he intends to become, as he says, a "medium-sized" farmer and provide the villagers with meat and milk.
We wish him luck in these endeavors.

Continuity of generations

Botakoz Dauhan, a resident of Kalkaman village, a rural area of Aksu city, Pavlodar region, moved with her family from Mongolia in 2019. Her husband Argynbay now works on the railway. Botakoz, a mother who gave birth to five sons, was unemployed until she received a grant from the National Entrepreneurship Development Project.
IMG 5699She did not have the opportunity to work before, because one child was constantly sick and required maternal care. This summer, when she received an offer to participate in the National Project, she agreed without hesitation. Opening a sewing workshop has been her dream since childhood. The reason is that she is not a newbie in sewing, which she learned from her mother. Botakoz completed a business training course and received a certificate, and then received a non-refundable grant of 1,476,800 tenge. As a result, she bought a sewing machine, an iron and other tools she needed.
"For two or three months, I have been sewing items such as blankets and pillows. There are no large orders, since I do not have advertising on social networks. For now, I fulfill requests from friends and relatives who know me," says Botakoz Dauhan.
Now she continues to work in one room of her house. If she had a separate room for a workshop, she is sure that there would be more orders. This would also be good for the residents of Kalkaman village. There is no sewing workshop in the village, so the residents who know that she provides seamstress services go to her. Botakoz intends to go to the akim of the village and ask for a room for a workshop. After all, the President himself mentions support for small and medium-sized businesses every time in his Address, and she believes that the akim should help her.
Botakoz has a dream of attracting girls to her business who will become worthy wives for her five sons.

Childhood Dream

Among the residents of Pavlodar region who took advantage of the non-refundable subsidy provided by the state for the unemployed, Guldana Akhanova stands out, a mother of many children, raising 4 girls and 1 boy, a resident of the village of Atameken, a rural area of the city of Pavlodar.

Guldana Kabdulashimovna took part in a business project with the opportunity to receive a non-refundable grant via the Internet and became the owner of a grant in the amount of 1,476,800 tenge. With these funds, she bought the necessary equipment for the field of activity of a modern specialty, "Mobile photography and SMM".
IMG 9929Having spent the grant funds, she became the owner of a laptop, a DSLR camera, a printer, a table, a selfie stick, a stand, a lens for a smartphone and a tripod.

"During maternity leave, I realized my childhood dream and began to take the first steps to become a photographer. In parallel with raising a child, I focused on creativity, showing my interest in mobile photography and SMM. These directions, unknown to me until recently, develop me creatively and opened the way to new opportunities,” says Guldana Kabdulashimovna.

Currently, Guldana is engaged in, as she says, for her, still large-scale projects: from filming LoveStory to info-business and commercial filming, trendy REELS, fashion, filming for YouTube and various events, etc.

Today, Guldana has already achieved certain successes on her “creative path” and with each filming reaches new heights. Her works look not only professional, but also like art “from the heart”.
Now the residents of the village of Atameken do not look for a videographer “from afar” to conduct some ceremony, be it a wedding or an anniversary, etc. After all, a real professional lives next to them and they can always turn to her for support and she will never refuse them.

According to Guldana Akhanova, a non-refundable grant from the state is an irreplaceable opportunity for any resident, especially those living in rural areas. As they say... let the one who walks the road master it... The main thing is desire.

Blessed cause

In the city of Pavlodar and especially its rural area, there are many people who received non-repayable grants and began to participate in the development of the territory of their place of residence. Someone opened a sewing workshop, another is engaged in the repair of car tires.

New ideas include baking sweet buns and other bread products, manufacturing metal products and other activities such as livestock farming and welding, etc.

1106 1For example, Nurzhan Asylov, a resident of the village of Zhetekshi in the rural area of the city of Pavlodar, the head of a large family, successfully defended his business plan.

After completing the course "Business Bastau", he became the owner of a certificate and a state grant. As a result, he opened a welding workshop in the "loft" style.

He spent 1,476,800 tenge provided by the state to purchase the necessary equipment for the implementation of the business project.

"I received state support and started my new business. The service that I offer is very necessary for the villagers.

Not long ago, the "welding unit" was put into operation. Now I have regular customers. If we provide "quality service", then the number of my customers will definitely increase," says Nurzhan Amanzholuly.

Since the welding workshop was opened in the village, the residents of the village of Zhetekshi, instead of going to the city of Pavlodar, support the activities of their fellow villager and contact his service, where he provides the entire possible range of services and, as fellow villagers believe, does his job better and more efficiently than city craftsmen, because how can you offend a neighbor.

Ancestors' business

Sheep breeding is an ancient occupation of the Kazakh people. Support for a Kazakh whose barn/kashara would never be left without sheep deserves attention.

Yes, there are different types of support from the state for those who want to breed livestock and/or engage in farming. One of them is grant funding.
Kaikybay Asan Kaldybayuly, a resident of the village of Moildy, a rural area of the city of Pavlodar, is one of those who "tried his luck" and became the owner of 1,476,800 tenge.

1105 1As he says, he participated in a grant competition for projects as the head of a large family. He used the grant money to buy small livestock, i.e. filled his barn with sheep.

"The main source of income for the village is livestock. And I asked myself - why don't you do what you can? So, last year I studied in the entrepreneurship program and wrote a business plan, successfully defended my project, received a non-refundable grant and bought 10 Edelbaya sheep.

Sheep and cattle breeding is our national calling. For example, I was brought up among domestic animals from an early age and this did not cause me any problems.

We cannot miss this chance when we have the opportunity to buy cattle and create conditions for work on caring for cattle, ”says the grant winner.

Asan Kaldybayuly, who deeply understood the meaning of the proverb “If you breed cattle, breed sheep, your income will also be large”, therefore intends to increase his income in the future by breeding sheep and other livestock.

And this is only the beginning, he has grandiose plans in mind. But now he counts only on himself. The state has provided him with an opportunity. As they say, take the first step, then everything depends on him, i.e. on his hard work, attentive attitude to business, etc. etc.

A villager with an "iron" character

State programs undertaken to increase the potential of ordinary people are bearing fruit.

Some residents of the rural zone of Pavlodar receive a preferential loan through the "Aul Amanat" program and develop their businesses, while others take their first steps in entrepreneurship at the expense of a non-refundable state grant issued under the employment program for the unemployed.

IMG 5638 1

For example, Tilek Upabaev, a resident of the village of Kenzhekol, a rural zone of Pavlodar, received a non-refundable state grant and began manufacturing iron jewelry, gates/doors and other specialized products.
This year, as the head of a large family, he applied for a non-refundable state grant and successfully defended his business project "Production of modern carved iron". Thanks to this, he became the owner of a non-refundable state grant in the amount of 1,476,800 tenge. A blacksmith by trade, having received a grant, immediately opened a small workshop and began working.
I ordered a special lathe for tying iron knots from Russia. Its price with delivery was 1,300,000 tenge, - says Tilek Kamylbekuly and, as they say, "the work has begun."
Since the opening of the workshop, he has been manufacturing household items such as iron gates/doors/fences and/or others. Today, I make 4-5 iron gates and offer them in a design that satisfies customers. Many houses are being built in our village of Kenzhekol. The demand for artistically decorated iron gates is very high. According to customer requests, I make iron fences and doors in 7-10 days, - says the master.
It is no secret that there are many unemployed people among the rural population. It is good that the state offers such citizens non-repayable loans and creates conditions for starting their own businesses. I always tell my fellow villagers, like me, about the importance of government programs and projects for starting a business. It is time to understand that business is a blessing, he says. And everyone, if they wish, with the support of the state, can realize their potential. And his words are confirmed by real actions, by his own example.

Tilek Kamylbekuly managed to build a special small workshop for running his small business. In the future, he intends to expand his business, which has become a source of income. And this will allow other residents of the village to find work.
We hope that everything will work out well for the businessman who opened his own business and began working with passion.
